"The Selenites serve up a classic rockabilly beat with their single "Get Back Home" (Hicktown Records) that gets a booty shakin' and shoulders swayin' - even for the most rhythmically challenged. It recalls a simpler time when kids just wanted to dance, dance, dance with no care for virtue signaling nor their parents' politics." - Monroe Washington, Moozikoo Staff Writer
"Get Back Home" by The Selenites is now included in our Meatballs playlist.
"People are a bit like plants, you can’t just uproot them and plonk them anywhere, they’ve got a whole ‘root system’ around their home and infrastructure that nourishes them." - Dave Dye, Love or Fear Chief Creative Officer
"With his baritone voice finding its sweet spot on the blues shuffle "Hi Heel Sneakers" Webb Wilder makes old school cool again.
Several artists have covered Tommy Tucker's Blues Hall of Fame-inducted title but not like this. Webb commits to it, belts it out with no hesitation, and makes it his own authentically." - Monroe Washington, Moozikoo Staff Writer
"I hadn’t done any organic illustration in the few years before this project, as I was focused on straight-ahead graphic design work. So I had no idea where I was going with this.
There’s a printmaking technique called reduction block printing where every color layer is made with the same block. I used this mindset when I was erasing away from each captured layer. I was also thinking of screen printing as I was working with color, imagining I was working with transparent inks and letting overlapping shapes create new ones." - Erica Larson
